Local Economy Day

Dear friends,

A city wide group made up of members from Transition Edinburgh, Bridgend Inspiring Growth, SEED would like to invite you to a day to look at ways to strengthen Edinburgh’s local economy. As the UK enters a period of austerity and as oil and food prices increase we believe Edinburgh’s local communities should start thinking differently about how we buy and exchange items and services.

The morning will include a speaker on alternative economics and relocalisation, followed by a workshop exploring people relationship with money. Then in the afternoon we will have speakers on local currencies, TimeBanking, LETS and freeconomy. These will be followed by an interactive workshop session to explore these ideas in more details and think about what steps to take next in Edinburgh.

When: Saturday 9th April, 1000 – 1630
Where: Riddles Court, 322 Lawnmarket, Edinburgh, EH1 2PG
Lunch: indoor picnic, bring food to share

This is an open event and all are welcome. Please forward this invite to all your networks and to anyone that you think would be interested.
Please confirm your attendance via the link below. If you have any questions please email transitionedinburgh@gmail.com

Thanks

Adam
